Mr. Kennedy's destiny was evidenced early on when, as a youngster, one of his favorite things to do was to "break" things, and then fix them. It didn't matter what the items was, as at about 8 or 9 the item was bikes. As he grew up, he would fix his mother's adding machine by using two machines to make one working machine. He later discovered his love of computers. The first computer that he owned was a Tandy purchased from Radio Shack, which was followed by a string of Atari's and even a Colecovision.

In 1987, his parents bought a "real" PC. A Packard Bell with a whopping 8086. Before moving the computer you had to park the hard drive, which is very different from the PCs we know and love today. Mr. Kennedy spent hours upon hours learning DOS and playing old DOS games. About two years later, his father bought a new Packard Bell with a 286 processor in it and this PC also had Windows 3.11 for workgroups.

It was heaven! Mr. Kennedy would spend every waking minute on this new PC often pulling little tricks to amuse himself, and his family. One trick that he pulled was installing a password on the system, that when entered would display "Richard is the best". One day, his father accidentally deleted a program shortcut and asked Mr. Kennedy to fix the problem. Not sure how to fix it, he called the Packard Bell help line. While on the phone, tech support walked him through how to recreate the shortcut. That was the hook - from that point on, just because of needing to fix that one problem, he had to know how to fix anything that would go wrong.

Mr. Kennedy currently holds an A+ certification, a Network + certification, a CCNA, and is working towards a CCNP, CCSP, and an MCP. He is continuing his studies and is working towards a Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology, with an expected graduation date of May 2005.

“There are two ways to get noticed on the web today. Sit back and hope that the search engines and customers find you, or be pro-active, and spread the word yourself. Spreading the word yourself is the best thing to do, but only if you know how to do it correctly. Too often, individuals and businesses are not sure how to get noticed by search engines and customers, and either end up wasting their time and money or worse yet, find themselves “banned” from search engines because of how they submitted their site.”

Search engines are constantly changing how they list and rank sites, and if your site is not in the top 50, chances are, no one knows that you exist. Making it into the top 50, unless your site is so unique that it is the only one of it’s kind, takes a lot of work, research, and time, all of which many individuals and business just don’t have enough of. Hiring a professional that knows what they are doing, because they have done it before successfully, is the best thing to do. That is why we have Ms. Craig, and why your current or future site can be one of the best.
